For the first-time in 2 years Jared is returning to teach his renowned one-day workshop in a face-to-face small group setting

This live workshop offers a complete distillation of the evidence base for shoulder pain management, equipping you with up-to-date knowledge and techniques you can apply immediately in clinic to achieve better patient outcomes

In this 8 hour live workshop we'll cover:

  • The burden of shoulder pain
  • What ‘causes’ a painful shoulder?
  • The rotator cuff: what you actually need to know
  • What factors mediate recovery of shoulder pain?
  • Hot seat on common misconceptions that plague shoulder pain management
  • The patient interview: what information you should keep an ear out for?
  • The physical examination: an efficient but rich guide to assessing shoulders
  • Treatment options underpinned by a patient-focused approach
  • Deep dive into exercise therapy for shoulder pain
The entire workshop is built on principles of critical thinking and the scientific method.

I borrow knowledge from exercise and sport science, neuroscience, biomechanics, human biology, philosophy, and psychology and apply it, in a cohesive way, to shoulder pain.

This makes for a well-rounded and comprehensive understanding of what shoulder pain is and how you might approach treating it.

About Jared Powell

Physiotherapist, PhDc

G’day, I’m Jared Powell – physio, researcher (yep, I’m a nerd), and creator of the Complete Shoulder course.

I’m on a mission to eliminate outdated modes of managing shoulder pain by helping clinicians to confidently apply contemporary evidence and management strategies to deliver better patient outcomes.

Since qualifying in 2012, I’ve had a special interest in the shoulder joint. I’ve undertaken significant study and research in this area and am currently completing a shoulder-pain-related PhD at Bond University.

My shoulder research and educational materials have been published in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals, along with several orthopaedic and musculoskeletal textbooks.

As a researcher and a clinician, I not only have an in-depth knowledge of shoulder pain and dysfunction – I also understand the everyday practicalities of applying evidence in the clinic.

I’ve been privileged to teach shoulder workshops both in Australia and internationally, and more than 700 students from 42 countries have taken my online courses. I’m also a visiting lecturer at Bond University, where I teach the shoulder to physiotherapy students.
